My name is Jenna, and I'm the girl behind the granola. We're a small-batch, artisanal granola company based in Sylva, North Carolina and specialize in providing vegan, wheat-free, soy-free, organic goodies to the conscious foodie.
And if you told me five years ago that I'd be selling my own brand of granola for a living, I'd probably have said "no way." If you told me that I'd live in Western North Carolina five years ago, I'd believe that even less. Turns out, both of those things are now true. Back in 2015, I had a steady academic career, was making granola for fun, and had a coastal Florida home I loved. But, John, my soon-to-be-husband, was finishing graduate school and beginning the job hunt. Surely we'd never leave Florida...
He got a job offer. He told me that it was far away from the beaches I thought I'd never leave. He asked if I wanted to make a move, and, without hesitation, I said "Let's do it."
I quit my job, packed up our house, said my tearful see-you-laters, and started all over. We had no friends or family in North Carolina; it was the two of us and our Boston Terrier, Squirt. I didn't even have a commercial kitchen for baking! Were we crazy? Probably. Would we change a thing? Not a chance.
I've spent the last two years learning about myself and foodie entrepreneurship. All of the recipes are our own. We do all of our own baking, packaging, and shipping. Everything is done in-house, and we like it that way. Happy-Go-Lucky Foods is my way of sharing my love of healthful food with the world.
Each and every product is handmade, and we promise to always:
- treat everything we make with love and respect.
- use as many organic ingredients as possible.
- listen to our customers.
- love our planet.
- enjoy every moment.
Whether you're local or whether you're far away, we hope to share our granola love with you. To have some Happy-Go-Lucky shipped to your door, click here.
